PT MNC Guna Usaha Indonesia (MNC Leasing) is quite optimistic to achieve funding distribution of IDR 2.2 trillion in 2016. The Corporate prepares to increase its assets from IDR 300 billion by the end of this year to IDR 1.5 trillion the next year.
The president Director of MNC Leasing Ageng Purwanto said that although it is still relatively new in financing business, the company's acceleration target has been set. According to him, the Corporate’s strategy is to diversify the business into four lines, which are heavy equipment, factoring, medical devices, and car rental. All of these factors lead to productive asset financing.
"The MNC Group injections will be around IDR 200 billion until next year. The rest of the capital is from bank loans. There is a commitment of IDR 500 billion from six local banks. We are quite optimistic that there are still large market potentials because MNC Group's captive market is also promising," Ageng said at a press conference in Jakarta yesterday.
One of the new steps taken by MNC Leasing is the signing of a financing cooperation and generator rental with Kohlerindo Prima which is the sole authorized distributor of Kohler Residential Gas Generator in Indonesia.
Ageng said that the signing of this agreement is the commitment of MNC Leasing to develop its financing business. Also, this generator set financing is the MNC Leasing strategy. According to him, MNC Leasing will not only focus on the traditional sector such as heavy equipment, but also on non-heavy equipment sectors such as generators, medical devices, machinery, trucks, and buses.
"We offer services with a three-year tenor and 9-9.5% interest. Competitors also start to switch from heavy equipment to consumptive or productive assets," he said.
The President Director of Kohlerindo Prima Parlindungan Simanjuntak revealed that in the generator set market sector, this is the first cooperation with a financing company. There has never been any similar collaboration before. Therefore, he hopes that this cooperation can encourage the development of the generator set market.
