In commemoration of National Batik Day which falls on 2 October 2023, MNC Guna Usaha Indonesia requires all employees to use batik on Monday, 2 October 2023. National Batik Day is celebrated every 2 October because it coincides with the designation of batik as a Humanitarian Heritage for Oral Culture and Non-material goods in 2009 by UNESCO. This world recognition should make the Indonesian people proud of batik culture and preserve the existence of batik so that it becomes more widely known.
